Yo!! How are you guys. I long time havent posted anything about what I did recently.Ok here goes.

26th October, 2008

Loud! Concert 2008 was awesome, my band played again as we had last year. One Red Paperclip, the band who also shared the stage with us last year. This year got 3 new bands played at Loud! , Aero Trio.another 6 piece band. Our own local band, Winner Of BOB 2007, Bus Company Band.It was a great experience to see them play for my very first time, learnt a lot of things about music. Another Christian band, 1.a.m. , a worship band from a Puchong church,Eaglepoint Covenant Fellowship.They travel to every country and organize Christian events and conferences. The whole concert was a successful event.We had dance performances by my own youth church members, human foosball, junkyard invaders playing percussion and buckets and games n food. Next year, I think Loud! Concert 2009 is gonna be on July, so be prepared and block all your dates and times for this event next year.ok thats all, photos will be posted next time when I'm free.

KDU College has organized this Charity Halloween Party for the Semoa childrens.It was awesome.They had dance performances, band performances and other performances. My 2nd band was featured the first band to play that day. We played That's What You'd Get and Sk8tr Boi. I made a mistake when coming to bridge of the Paramore song.forgotten that part,hehe. Met a lot of people,take pictures with a lot of people with costumes.Oh yea,Darren perform as well with Sam Oh from Bus Co. , Ryan(good drummer) and another fella', their band was good. It was another Halloween experience since the last time I had it about 10 years ago at Hartamas with my family.That's all I've gotta say.

4th November, 2008

My family and I went for this jazz concert at MPO, Unit Asia was performing at MPO for their very first time. Tay Cher Siang, our malaysian jazz pianist, 3 Japanese musician and a Thai saxophonist. One of them is the drummer from The Square(T-Square) and Synchronized DNA, some of you may know him, Noritake Hiroyuki, the drummer played aside with Akira Jimbo. Anyways it was a great experience finally to meet and take pictures with him. They played very well, i totally enjoy the concert.After the concert, my family went to No Black Tie and the band was there to play for a session.Unfortunately, Noritake Hiroyuki was sick when he came down from Japan to KL to perform, even he was sick,yet he played so well.That's all I have to say. My school had our annual Awards Night, this time it was held at Grace PJ.It was alright, compared last year, the performance has been shorten and lesser than previous year. They showed a video of GRC since 2003, I could see myself and my friends around me whom I know since 2003, people like Jon Roberts, Bryant Sum, Ian Fan and many more. We were so small that time. And now, all of us has grown up. I really missed those time. The awards presentation were the longest in the programme that night.More students came in...anyways to cut short the awards presentation...After all those, we had our photo sessions, go around taking pics. So about 10pm, I drove Shabeta, Shu Way, Dawn and my sis, we had supper with Aunt Lilian's family and some other people from GRC to nearby my house, opposite Maybank, the mamak. We had a great bonding time together.I wish we had more of these.anyways, photos will be posted at my sis's blog, www.emmanuel-godwithme.blogspot.com . Stay tuned for the pics.

GRC had our last class party of the year, it was boring and cool at the same time. We had food & drinks, games and other stuffs. We took pics again and say our goodbyes' til next year, we'll meet again. I also wanna thank God, that Kelvin Wong has finally discharge from Sunway Hospital, after suffering for dengue fever for the pass 2 days. I hope he continue to stay strong with God and May God bless him and his family in everything they do.

James is a KDU maintainance staff who has recently lost his home and all his worldly belongings, in a fire. James has been working in KDU College for 3 years and earns a minimum wage. Savings were never a priority. With the little he earns, James has to support his family. He has asked for nothing more than the basic essentials, just to ease his suffering. Hey guys,now I got something to post about,haha.Well my sis and I went for the Passion World Tour Conference. We followed Jamie to Sunway from church, Sarah and Jon followed as well. So we arrived there, I went to collect my tickets for my sis and I. We both wanna thank God for the tickets because we prayed for it, somehow tickets all solded out but then I asked around and there was last 2 for sales. I saw Ms Cath, Joshua Teo(my XYZ cg's friend), some Grace Church's members, some DUMC's members, my ex-church members and some familiar faces I don't know what are their names. Well lets start with my story post about Passion below. Pics will be uploaded soon.

~Passion Conference~

It was awesome, I totally enjoy the conference, the worship and the sermon.I jumped til my legs already pain but I still continue, haven't had so much jumping and fun at Christian events and concerts since the last Hillsong United Concert at Glad Tidings.Chris Tomlin was great, so as Charlie Hall.The worship was great too. Louie Giglio shared awesome sermons and stories. So I did took some pics which it isn't allowed to but who cares, everyone is enjoying the time of worship.Chris Tomlin lead the worship first and Charlie.Chris sang some familiar songs and Charlie sang some songs I've never listen before.Worship was awesome.then Louie shared about a girl named Ashley from her journal which had turn out to be an influenced to the world and made into a book. The story was touching, it talks about how the life of Ashley has turn from a very spoiled girl into a Christian girl. It has some humors in it as well. In the story there are few things, Cryster(known as Fruit Cake),bad words(mention as "Blank") and many more, well I wouldn't talk about the whole story 'cause its pretty long, I'll just say some parts. "Fruit Cake" actually is the one who lead her into Christianity by showing her some of Louie Giglio's sermons in DVDs. And Ashley emailed to Louie Giglio and he replied her, and he even posted her emails and about her on the blog , 268blog.com, go check it out. Although she has got into Christianity only for 3 months because she died in a car accident at age of 22 years old. I understand some parts of the story and some I don't. After sermon, Chris lead for the last set of worship for the conference. We sang my all time favorite Christian hymn, Amazing Grace( My Chains are Gone), it was great hearing that song in live version. After concert ends, Jamie sented me and my sis home. That conference is one of the best events in my life, I hope to meet Chris Tomlin in person in the future. Anyways the Passion team is heading to Jakarta on the 5th August,so please pray for a revival at Jakarta as we Malaysian also were prayed by Manila, the previous nation they had Passion World Tour. Oh yea, we are the 7th nation that Passion team has been to, so after Jakarta, they've got 9 more cities to go. So lets continue to pray for the Passion team to bring a revival to the whole world. Yesterday morning, I followed my parents to some Tropicana Charity Carnival at the Tropicana Sport Club,its was ok. til then my friends told me they wanted to practice one more time for the gig we supposed to do on that day.so they came and pick me up from Tropicana and send me back to my house. At 3pm,we started to practice our songs we supposed to play,it was not bad,little out of tempo,and slight mistakes.We finished at 4.30pm, I got changed then we went back to my band's guitarist,Asyraf's house. After that we left his house at 6.30 n headed to used to be Naily's Place called Tree House which is located at Uptown Damansara.We went there and set up our equipments.Oh sorry, forgotten to mention, its Asyraf's cousin birthday,Elisa. so yea, there is a 3 piece band named ''The 3 Souls''(a guitarist,2 vocalist n their own backup minus guitar track) band played for the first set and next was my good friend,Rifdi and also the rest of my band members' friend as well.He played 1 song by some artist and he composed 2 songs just for the birthday girl,1 w/lyrics n 1 instrumental piece name Lisa, it was nice words he composed,its about a girl. Wow for me, I can't write lyrics, but can composed a lot of instrumental pieces,haha.Well after Rifdi's solo performance, it was our turn to play,so we started off with Sk8tr Boi-Avril Lavinge n 2nd song The Last Fight by Velvet Revolver and thats the end of our performance.The crowds isn't that very nice. After we all started to party, it was cool. We knew that the crowd isn't good for band performance, but it depends what songs, they are more of partying people. I actually enjoy partying than our band performance. We all started to dance and dance, my friend's friend open a dance floor just for people to show off their skills in dancing.Rifdi and Husaini,my bassist, at first they don't have the guts to go out and show off, so some guy push they both in to dance and battle, other people also danced too, including me, I have no guts because of Rifdi. I went out to did my thing, shuffling mixture with a little popping,locking and breakdancing. It was my first time dancing so crazy in the public. It wasn't really good but they cheered for me,YEAY!! I went hyper already, I now know how partying feels like,lol.Ooh, there were many hot girls,friends' of Elisa. I couldn't resist it, Rifdi brought me around and socialize with the people I do not know, I did introduce myself to those girls n talk awhile but I didn't ask for their contact no. which I think its stupid to ask.Well I will upload the pics for the party soon at my next post. anyways gotta sign off, really tired after all those dancing and performance and rehearsal practices. goodbye =D

Hey guys,long time no update, I lazy to update. Well these pass few weeks I did some nice stuffs. I went to watch a movie with my family that haven't came out since a decade ago, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and also I went to some where away from KL that we haven't been there since 6 years ago, Port Dickson. Everything has changed there, we used to stay in those caravans but now its all abandoned and no one are using them. Hillsong United concert was awesome, many people went as we thought, its so expensive for one ticket, people wouldn't want to go but they will go because they want to worship God and to experience Him, not to enjoy the music, the band or the concert. so it was great having Hillsong United in KL again for the 3rd time. I'm actually typing this post in 1U now, mum buying jewelry for some special occasion tomorrow. My sis and I met up with Shab just now, she pierced her nose,ouch! she cried a little. Hey wassup people!! long time no posts.well lets see what i've been doing recently.

4th April-5th April

I went for Genting International Jazz Festival 2008, it was awesome. Jazz bands from all over the continents and countries came to perform at the Genting International Showroom, same venue as last year. There are many variety of jazz music,music like samba, latin, tango, salsa, acapella, funk and so on. Some of the audiences went to dance on the stage, so the bands had their free dancers on stage,haha. It was pretty fun watching the performances.The 1st day ended at 2.50am and the 2nd day ended at 3.30am, also during the intervals, I met up with my drum teacher, Steve and his girlfriend, Serene which was my classmate in GRC back in 2003 and his friend, Daniel Foong the bassist and his girlfriend as well. I really missed the performances, it was awesome. I hope to go for more next year, maybe perharps this year, if there are any coming up soon.

11th April, Friday

Today we went to school, had our chapel practice then went for lunch and went back into the music room for practice again.We played Now That You're Near and None But Jesus, the music room's guitar amp is lousy, suddenly the sound went off when I was playing the 2nd song.Pastor Mark preached , we had alter-call and pastor mark came out to pray for us. It ended about 3.30pm. so we packed up, went down and hang out. Abigail's mum came to pick Abigail, my sis and I and drop us, siblings at Tesco, since my mum is there getting some groceries. We went help my mum, to get some stuffs as well and load the stuffs into the car. For the first time, we step into Courts, which is across The Curve. It was not bad, its huge and filled with nice gadgets. I found some nice SLR cameras, which I fell in love with it, too bad for me not getting it =( Well I save up for it next time. I went there also to go the Bentley and I found out Bentley haven't open yet, it will be official opened end of April, crap! We went there and search a new laptop for my sis, after walking for 2 hours in Courts. We left the place and walk to The Curve. And there was some Fitness First Physical Challenge, so seeing some people join the challenge, I decided to join myself. You are required to do "Jump Squad", "Push-Ups", "Dumbell Lifting" and "Sit-Ups" as many times as you want. So I did the "Jump Squad" and I met Tammy, Michelle Ooi, Lydia and Jacqueline Tan, Tracy, and 2 others USJ friends which I don't know what are their names. They came to celebrate Tammy's birthday which was on Tuesday. They were there supporting me in the challenge, so I did 130times "Jump Squad", 12times pushups, 13times dumbell lifting and 200times situps.It was so tiring, but it worth for the cheers from the girls, haha. so after they sorted out the participants, they announced the grand prize winner, with the overall mosts "times", I won the grand prize, I was amazed by one small kid, he was in the challenge as well. He won a Fitness First bandana and a 14days free pass. Myself I won 2 envelope of 14days free pass admits 2 person, a FF flask, 2 FF Bandana, a Fitness First bottle and a bag with their logo, it wasn't really good prize, at least I get to realized how important is exercise and workout to me, so I'm gonna try to go to Fitness First twice every week inorder to keep myself healthy,fit and strong.so after that I felt so sleepy after all those challenges, haha. so we talk to the girls for awhile, then mum, sis and I headed off to Vivo and took our dinner. I also almost forgotten how important is it for me to take care of my face, went to some skin care promotion thing after dinner, they showed how dirty, oily, blackheads, pimples and other spots on my face through some scope device that connects to the TV to show us. It was so disgusting, myself also scared, haha. We bought the vouchers from the skin care centre and it was about 11.30pm, we tired and we decided to head home. But we stop by at Friendster Cafe at Damansara Perdana, met up with my dad and his business partners and went off to SS2 for supper. We remembered how fattening is to take supper everyday, haha. so we didn't eat anything and we head back home.

Well that's all for today, I'm so tired after all those challenge I did at Curve.gotta go to church tomorrow til 5pm for some "10 weeks" course and then go to Planet Shakers Concert at FGA KL, see you there! adios amigos and amigas XD . God bless!!

Drummer For Christ Shed Session '08

20th March

The DFC Shed Session '08 was awesome. I reached New Life Restoration Centre at 10.30am, unloaded the stuffs and set up my drums and tune. While waiting for the some of the shedders to come, the rest of the drummers set up and tune their drums til' about 12.30pm. We ordered McDs' for lunch, then we chatted and introduce ourselves. There was many good drummers on that day. After lunch, the guest drummers, Arthur Kam, Derrick Siow and Kenny Hogan did their sound checks on their drums and also practice their minus one tracks, its about 2.30pm they finished.We started our shedding at 3 something. First, all 8 drummers together played the same beat, each of us has a solo after 2 bars, it was awesome, first time playing together with 8 drummers, sounds awesome! There was 2 Tama, 3 Pearl, 1 Sonor, 1 Yamaha and 1 PDP which is my kit,there was also one guy whose having a very expensive limited edition Tama 7 piece drum kit,refer to him,its about rm30,000 including the cymbals.Then Wagner L Daniel from the band, James Boyle And The Ragged Tigers, Andrew William, Arthur Kam, Derrick Siow and Kenny Hogan, came to showed us some stuffs to apply on our drumming techniques and skills.so we shed-ed til about 6pm,it was a nice experience to be able to play in a drum circle like this. About 7pm, Andrew William took 3 of my new friends and me out for dinner. We came back and waited to go into auditorium and see Altered Frequency live. The performance was good, after it ended, the next programme will be the guest drummers playing individually. First up, Andrew William,then goes Derrick Siow playing his 3 minus one tracks and a drum solo, he was not bad for a 15yrs old drummer. Jerry Felix was next, did some drum solos and also playing along with Michael the bassist and Altered Frequency's bassist.Next it was Arthur Kam, he also played 3 minus tracks and a drum solo, he was amazing and play better than people twice his age. btw he is 17yrs old, same age as me, what a talent. At last, Kenny Hogan, the leading drum clinician in South East Asia.He did a minus one song, a drum solo and also playing along with Michael the bassist.It was a little boring and a little nice. It ended at about 11pm, the shedders gave each of their numbers and email addresses to keep in contact in the future.It was such an awesome night, hope to go for more of these events in the future. Almost forgotten to explain to you guys what is called shedding. I think I don't have to explain so much, its at my previous posts.I will upload the pics soon. Bye!

Finally,the gig is over.

15th March

Shab,Isaac,Brenda and I had practice for 4 days,we played for my mum's classmate's 40th Birthday and we have to play songs from the 80's.First thing,we brought the instruments there and set up.Rehearse few more times.Then comes to night.At first,we thought it will go wrong,because we use only guitar,keyboard, and 3 vocalists.But it was not bad,although a little stiff and nervous,haha...So we played "I Need You" by LeAnn Rimes,"My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion,that sounds bad til my beatbox came in that song," A Whole New World" duet,Shab and me,"Majesty" by Planet Shakers,i dunno why we pick that song,i came in beatboxing again at the 3rd Chorus.At last the Happy Birthday ft. Me the beatboxer.It was a little different from what we usually do for the "Traditional Happy Birthday" song.So then the organizer call me up again to beatbox the people.if you might know him,the organizer,the husband of the birthday girl,a host and in the entertainment scene of malaysia,Patrick Teoh.He also host the TV2,Instant Cafe,interview and talks with Malaysian music performers.Gavin was there too,i remembered i saw him somewhere in TV or somewhere,haha.The performance overall was good,a little nervous,not much of showmanship.yea thats all.

he is kinda the oldest in our group of friends, and sometimes you may think he is blur and doesn't care much and all... but actuallyy.. HE DOES!.. he cares for everyone. he is always there to cheer me up when i'm down, and he tells me to just let it out when i'm stressed. he doesn't only do that to me, he does it to almost everyone. SEE... he does make a GOOD bro rite!! =)

Hey,long time no update!! yes i shall update. I had my CNY,it was nice, went to aunts & uncles' place to visit and collect angpaus, eat, played fireworks with my cousin,this year's CNY is the funniest,haha.My cousin,his friends and I played fireworks,we explode cans and beer bottles with the fireworks,we put the "whistling rocket" into the bottle and it explode,it came out smoke which has shape like circles.And we also played "Harry Potter duelling game",so we say the names," Expeliarmus","Flipendo","Expecto Patronus" and a few other names,so we shoot each other with the fireworks,lucky it didnt burn us,but the firework did hit our legs and hands,it wasnt painful,one of my cousin's friend got hit at the ear,but it was a close one,it was pain but no injury.Yea it was dangerous,so we stopped playing that game.I went to penang for a week, ate good food,had music evaluation.CNY was good and then skip to recent stuffs i did.I went for facial treatment,it was nice, but quite a painful process.Firstly,they used the ultra violet light to see if my face got any pimples or any spots.After that they wrote down what i have,my sis also did the same thing.So then we headed to each of our own room,waited for the person to come.So a girl came in,wash my face with the face cleanser,wipe it off,apply something.Did a face massage.Soothing Face Massage then Scrub Wash.There comes the painful part,Removing the pimples/blackhead.She was digging my blackheads out,it was quite painful,i didnt cry but i had coldsweats.After 10mins-15mins of that painful process,its done.Here comes the nice part,the water sprinkler fan cooling my face and calm me down after all those painful time.She applied the face moisturizer.Face massage again.so everything took at least 2hours. I wanna wish Ms Cath a Happy 26th Birthday, she has grown one year older, I hope she will find her love one day and get married soon! hahaha, just joking la, Ms Cath!! Lets talk about her!! She is nice,wonderful,strong in faith,kind,funny,discipline,cool as always,happy,fun and she can play the piano,guitar and drums,how talented is she, plus she has a nice voice like Juwita Suwito and she is also very smart. She has been a blessing among us,helping us in our works,helping in the worship team,a good friend to all of us and sometimes help and listens to our problems that makes us depressed.Well,she is sometimes strict and something else til some of us dislike her but its for our own good,haha,that strict-ness of her makes us changed in our studies life, if you guys out there still dislike her, please forgive her and try to understand her, she has corrected her mistakes and everyone commits mistake in our lifes. She is our good friend among us like Wee Yen,Soph,Roberts,Kelvin,Fai,Bee Bee and so on,hahaha.That's all I can say about her, she is a wonderful blessing from God that has fall upon us to help,guide,teach and stuffs in our lifes. Greetings people!!Today I woke up at 11am,I don't know why I can't wake up,suppose to go to school at 9am,but reach to school like already almost 12.30pm,hehe.We had practice til 1pm then went for lunch,and came Ms Catherine ask us to finish our lunch in 5mins and then go down to the uth hall.We were called to go down because there was a meeting.Mr Fan is gathering all GRC PJ students to form a brass band,sort of like a marching band.Pastor Joshua was there to demostrate some instruments.Kelvin was called out to demonstrate to us how to play the snare drums.Bryant Sum was called to demonstrate, playing huge bass drum and Jon Roberts was ask to demonstrate to blow the trumpet,so Pr. Joshua and the other 3 demonstraters,they were demo-ing how does it sounds like when all the instruments were mixs together.This new music thing in our school,its gonna be fun,for me yes because I'm a musical person,but I don't know about the others.After the meeting and demos,we head up to the music room and prayed for guidance and stuffs.We practice for awhile then chapel starts.It was so stuffy because the aircond is down,so we started worship,it was good,everyone jump around in the song "Friend Of God" ,all of us sweat during worship,i was sweating more than others,my shirt is almost soak up with all my sweats,haha.Ms Catherine shared about "where do we think we will be heading to after we die..".It was a good sermon,it has touch me that i almost cried,lol and chapel has ended,we packed up the place,then went down to the classroom to hang out and stuffs.so it is a good day for me.

Finally,Switchfoot Concert is tomorrow,can't wait to go.its gonna be so cool,hehe.btw i have changed my blogskin,so EVERRYTHINGG IS GONEE!! but i will put stuffs back in place.And Thanks to Lydia Chang for making my blog so beautiful and cool,love you Lydiaaa!!anyway thats all for today.i will post more often,and you guys enjoy yourself at Switchfoot concert tomorrow!!adios amigos and amigas XD

What is Shedding?

"Shed" is well-known term drummers use for jammings...we meant shed-ing.If you've have experienced our "50hours" record attempt held last September,DFC Shed Session is the next phrase for you who craved for more.And to those who missed it,this is the shed you don't wanna miss.
We have invited Malaysia's child prodigy,Arthur Kam, Malaysia's longest playing drummer,Jerry Felix,Drum Guru,Andrew William and 14 yrs old-up and coming drummer,Derrick Siow,to show us what they've got.

No entrance fee. Shed-ing is free. Stage & lights are ready. Bring your kit, show us your skills. Drag your friends, tell your bandmates and head down to DFC Shed Session this March 2008. No video camera allowed. Still camera only.

Today was my birthday,so does Minn Zher as well,so I woke I found a birthday card under my pillow which I didnt realize its there,so yea,it was dedicated from my parents and my sis,Brenda,it was really nice,thanks you guys.I got changed of clothes and went down.I was half asleep while walking,haha.I went to school as usual I sat down and took out my books,did my work.came Shab and Soph,"Happy Birthday Brandon!!"*hugs*.Tommy go spread the news about my birthday.Roberts gave me birthday card,it was beautifully decorated,thanks bro,you are the best!!Lunch Time has arrived and we went up to take our lunch.After that I went down and wish Minn Zher Happy Birthday as well,he is my old long time friend,since 1999.We were called to go to the Music Room for chapel practice,we practice all the songs.At 2pm,chapel starts,first everyone settled down then Ms Cath started to say somethings,she came announcing the January-ians.First came out,Minn Zher,15yrs old.Second,Melissa which her birthday is on the 19th.Lastly,our cool electric guitarist,Brandon,he is 17 yrs old already.I said, "I'm so old already",Ms Cath said,"I more old already,26yrs old already,touching 30yrs old soon!!Alright we shall sing happy birthday to the January-ians".No musician was giving her a key tune for it,so she just sang and I duet with a beatbox.So we started worship,it was totally awesome,Kelvin did his drum solo on the song "Majesty" and I did my guitar shredding solo as well.It was awesome worship.We finished worship,we had an ice-breaker,its called "The Blanket Game".I lazy to explain,so yea,then Ms Cath preach about time,statistics.Eg:Time we has use on online,chatting,food,watch a movie,holidays,play a game and many more things that we do in our life.So we have to make use of our time left given,it kinda frightened me a little because i dont have much time left for my studies.And then we prayed and chapel has ended.I was brought to the cafeteria upstairs,sang happy birthday by a bunch of seniors and middlers.It was awesome,we had 3 large pizzas,3 bottle of drinks,1 Secret Recipe cake specially ordered by my mum,thanks mum i love you!! and Sparkling Juice specially given by Sherlyn,suppose to drink it myself but I open it I shared it with everyone although it wasnt enough for all,so we pour it out and we say that cheer where chinese people's marriage,Shu Way,Roberts and I shouted loudly,"Yummmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!Singg!!After that we ate our foods and drinks;took pics;took random pics;took group pics.We guys went down to play basketball,it was really rough,Kelvin got the ball smacked on his face and a pole that is facing out hitted his neck and Roberts slip off and lie straight on the ground,I hope you guys are alright.It was time for us to go back,so Kelvin,Sherlyn,Brenda and I waited for my mum to pick us up.We send them back already,went home.cooked dinner,drank some wine,"Merlot 2003" and that was all for my birthday.It was good,tired,a little depressed day.I thank God for a new year and my new age,I hope that everything would be better in 2008.Thanks for those who made my birthday party a good one!! and God Bless you all!!Take care
